Kathy, with a dedicated husband and a 19-year-old son pursuing a career as a car mechanic, had endured years of hard work, having picked cotton and toiled in a cotton mill. During Rick’s visit, he bestowed upon her thoughtful gifts—a necklace, a prayer bowl, candy, a Christmas card, and even some cash—bringing a touch of joy and comfort to Kathy during a challenging time.
