On May 21st, Rick Mantei raised over $1,000 for Happy Hour’s Special Olympics program in Warner Robins, Ga. Mantei was able to raise so much money for the event by selling flights to those in attendance.
In additional to the many flights Mantei gave that afternoon, he also flew the program director at Happy Hour, Bruce Hullet along with one of Happy Hour’s Participants, Ronnie. Ronnie has been a participant at Happy Hour for nearly 40 years.
This was the first time Ronnie had ever been in an airplane. He said it was one of his best experiences. Ronnie said he felt like a bird flying through the air.
All flight proceeds went to charity, with Mantei donating his time, plane and cost of fuel for the event.
